The World Economic Forum just dropped a bombshell. Are comms leaders ready for the future of work?

WEF just shared its Future of Jobs Report 2025.

And it's clear: work is changing fast.

AI, automation and new skills will shape the jobs of tomorrow.

Some key stats from the report:

- 86% of companies say AI will transform their business by 2030

- 85% will invest in reskilling, as 59% of workers will need training

- 39% of today’s skills will be outdated by 2030

If you work in comms, here's how to get ready:

- develop your soft skills (like critical thinking)

- learn how to use AI tools effectively

- ask your employer for training

WEF paints the picture of a job market that is about to be transformed by AI.

Some roles will disappear while new opportunities will emerge in data analytics, cybersecurity and digital marketing.

AI is not replacing communicators like you and me.

It's reshaping the way we work.

The ones who adapt, develop core skills and use the new AI tools will be ready for what's to come.

What are your thoughts?

How are you preparing for the future of work?

Let’s discuss this in the comments.

Talk to you later 👋
